Bob Samuelson

Shot some portraits of Newsweek financial columnist Bob Samuelson at his DC office. This isn't the one that's running in the magazine, but its one of my favorites:



I'm still learning how to take a good portrait - how to light it, what angles to shoot, how to make it more interesting than a middle school class photo. Also, how to do this all quickly enough as to not piss off my subject. Very much a learning process.

Wow. That's all I can say. In my very unprofessional opinion, I love this picture. Also, is that a typewriter I see buried under a stack of papers by him? Very cool.

yeah, that's a type writer and then a computer behind it. dude had the craziest office in the world.

and bro, I hear ya about people photog. But at least you're working hard at it! I think I just gave up cause I sucked at it. Wide-angle's where my heart is, I guess.

Dude, this is a great shot.

I worked next to a guy who had a similar pack-rat mentality, only he had a cubicle.
